2022 Holiday Events at 5th Street Public Market
5th Street Public Market in Eugene, Oregon is the place for holiday magic. All season long, we will be celebrating the spirit that makes this time of year so special for our friends, our family, and the community we live in. With the holidays upon us, many 5th Street Public Market businesses will be adjusting their hours. Please check individually with each store as opening and closing times may change or vary.
Let It Snow (in the Market Core)
While snow may be a rare occurrence in Eugene, if it’s holiday season at the Market, snow is guaranteed! Get into the Yuletide spirit weekends throughout December in the Market Core. Snow shows happen each Friday and Saturday from 6pm - 6:30pm until December 23rd.
Here Comes Santa Claus
The big man himself, Santa Claus, returns to the Market this year in the 5th Street Eateries. Presented by Eugene Pediatric Associates, you can now bring your camera to take your own photo! Santa’s schedule is below, but please check back here and/or our social channels for any last-minute changes:

10th: Market Alley near Paws Pet Shop, 3pm - 6:30pm

Santa PAWS with Greenhill Humane Society
And let’s not forget tis’ the season to celebrate with our furry friends! Bring your dog or cat in their most festive holiday attire for pet photos with Santa on Saturday, December 10 from 3:00pm - 6:30pm. Remember that your feline and canine companions must be leashed at all times. Santa Paws will be located in the Market Alley near Paws Pet Shop

If you’re in the mood for food this holiday season, our many restaurants and eateries have you covered. Looking to gather with a large group? Marché, the Gordon Tavern, Steelhead Brewery, Tap & Growler, Cornucopia, and 5th Steet Eateries & Bar all have plenty of room to accommodate you.
Market Alley Light Shows
It's a festive, fun time in the Market Alley with hundreds of lights twinkling in unison to music! It makes the perfect backdrop to gather together and embrace the warmth of the holidays while you enjoy a good meal or beverage from one of the many Alley establishments after a day of shopping locally at 5th Street Public Market!
Visit the Market Alley every night from 6:45 - 7:15 pm until December 23rd to enjoy the light show. This is a free event open to all ages.
Holiday Movie Nights in the Market Alley
Catch a flick Wednesdays & Thursdays through December 22, 2022, at 5:00 PM. Stay warm with a beverage from one of the neighboring tasting rooms to enjoy under the Alley heaters or grab a tasty meal from one of the Market's many restaurants and eateries. Pull up a seat (they are provided but feel free to bring your own) and let the movie magic begin!

Holiday Photo Ops
5th Street Public Market is one of Eugene’s visual landmarks, attracting old school film photographers, Instagrammers and other social content creators, and all kinds of event-driven photo seekers (think engagements, family photos, out-of-town visitors, and more). From our open-air courtyard complete with fountain, decorated corridors and shops, and the newer Market Alley, there is no better place to snap selfies, family shots, and beautiful, seasonal decor.
